This week I am working with Karen Luisana of Luisana Designs and Antiques, on a new project, the High Point Antique and Design Center. This will be a huge building filled with Antique Dealers and wonderful reproductions. The website is in the works but for the moment we have a blog at www.highpointantiqueanddesigncenter.com I photographed the showrooms yesterday and will be working on a new website with more information.

Luisana Designs and Antiques Project

It's pouring rain today and i would love to just get back under the covers and stay there for a while... but there are things to be done, many.

I have been working on a marketing project for Luisana Designs and Antiques, which includes photographing inventory and creating a website as well as a new logo and other marketing materials. The website is almost complete and you can check it out at the above link. feel free to send me comments about changes you would make. Ava Claire Sparks was born last Saturday, August 16, 2008 6lbs 15oz and i was lucky enough to be there to share the day with my good friend Angie and her husband Jeff and son Nicholas as they welcomed little Ava into the world. Congratulations!!!

I am posting these images because last last year my father was very sick and many people prayed for him. Good friends told me that they would visualize him on the beach with his children and grandchildren and this positive image was something that remained with me and helped me get through the days that he was in a coma and on the verge leaving this planet. I wanted them to see that this visualization is now a reality!!!! There is so much power in prayer and positive thinking. My family has been truly blessed to have my Father healed. Sometimes our prayers aren't answered how we hope for them to be and we must accept that it's all part of a greater plan. But for right now, I am amazed by the grace and mercy that God showed me and my family. Thank you Craig and Marti, and all of my friends that held me close to their hearts during this difficult year. Each of you held me up when i wasn't able to stand on my own and I am forever grateful to you. You know who you are and I love you.

I have been spending the week with my family in sunny florida. My nephew Josiah had his first airplane ride and watched his first superbowl this week. He is very upset about the Patriots losing, but he enjoyed the game anyway. He is so good.

I have been able to spend lots of time with my little cousin Kaui. She is so precious. It's 80 degrees and sunny here. Wow, what a nice change from freezing weather in NC. Heading home in a couple of days, but i've had a great trip and taken lots of photos!

Christmas was amazing with my family. My Dad is alive, and I have a new nephew. So many things to be grateful for. The best Christmas ever, I must say.

Happy New Year!!!! We spent the new year in Miami. Wow, it was pretty crazy there. I'll post some pictures later.

My precious little nephew Josiah James SanGeorge was born on Thursday October 25, 2007. He weighed 6lbs 14oz and is just perfect!!! He was almost 3 weeks early.

My Dad had surgery on his hands Thursday also. Everything went pretty well and he should be able to come home next week sometime from the hospital.

Sister Retreat

Jame', Stacy and I enjoyed a sister trip to Windy Gap, near Ashville, NC this weekend. This was a Young Life women's retreat and it was awesome. Margot Starbuck spoke about refusing to fit into the worlds mold. She was great. Here are a few photos from lunch in Asheville today with my sisters! They are my best friends and I pray that God will show me how to love them in whatever way they need.

This weekend I photographed a beautiful wedding on Daufuskie Island, SC. Shamika and Matt enjoyed a wonderful celebration dispite the pouring rain and the power outages. Everyone enjoyed dinner and dancing and the happy couple started their new life together on the right foot.
